Playing Outside and a New First!

The weather was beautiful today! Blake has still been fussy because of his teeth, and a possible cold, so we decided to head outside to play!
































Blake also had another first today.... First haircut! Alex insisted on this because the hair on the back of Blake's head was starting to look a little weird. Alex also decided to do it himself! I was freaking out the whole time.

Blake looks so old! Please ignore the giant pink smoothie stain on his shirt. The haircut turned out decent. It looks much better in the back, but it is a little short in the front. However, it might be pretty cute if we spike it up with some gel.... Hmmm... Might have to try that...

A Funny Little Man

Blake has really been cracking me up lately. His personality is truly starting to show. He knows when he is doing things he isn't supposed to and laughs when you tell him no. This is so funny right now, but in the future I know it will be a problem! Now, we just try to not let him see us laughing when he acts like that.

Blake is not really into watching television (which is great!), but Alex and I have noticed lately that he LOVES Wheel of Fortune. And Jeopardy, but not as much. He will sit completely still and watch all of Wheel. There is a picture for proof below! It is hilarious. You will never see Blake any calmer unless he is sleeping.

We also got Blake a tent, which he loves. There is a cute picture below where he and Alex are sporting their serious faces while playing in it.

Oh.... Also... We can see at least three more teeth that have broken through as of now. I am pretty sure more are going to appear very soon. Running total: 11 visible teeth!

One Year Appointment Update

Well, Blake had his one year appointment! All is good! He is 20.8 pounds (27th percentile) and 31.5 inches (96th percentile). Tall and skinny, just like his daddy! He is also getting a few teeth. Canines and molars! This has made him a little fussy, but he has been in a pretty good mood most of the time. Here he is playing with some of his new birthday toys!

Blake is 1!

I cannot believe it! Blake's first birthday has come and gone. And so quickly! My mom came to visit, and we had a little party! Here are some pictures:

We finished out Blake's birthday with dinner at The Rainforest Cafe. We thought Blake would like looking at the trees and fish, and we were right! He loved it!

We had a wonderful visit! Blake had a great birthday and was so happy the entire time! He is great at going places! I hope he stays that way. He loves going out to eat, shopping, and basically going anywhere. Here are some other cute pictures from our visit with Grandma Cindy:
