Separated from the Baby!

We had a busy week! We were away from Blake for a few days for the first time, and we survived! It was hard being away from him, but I know he was in good hands!

A Weekend Visit

I always pack too much  for just myself. Now add two dogs to that. Then, I seriously pack too much. Now, add a baby to the mix. Do I have enough bags or room in my car to hold everything I need?!

This weekend we are headed to Schererville to visit with Alex's family. The dogs are staying with my parents in Plainfield, but Blake is coming with us to meet everyone. This is Blake's first weekend away from our house. I have to pack diapers, wipes, clothes, toys, and all kinds of other things, but the most important: milk. This is my  main concern. I haven't quite decided how I am going to do this. Do I pack a few bottles and then rely on freshly pumped milk to feed him? That seems to be the easiest solution, but I have never been away from my milk stash! I have an extreme attachment to my milk collection. There is milk in our refrigerator, freezer, and a separate deep freezer in the garage. I am certain this attachment to my milk is unhealthy, but I can't help it! I know I can't be the only mom out there with this milk attachment, right?!

On another note, Blake is doing great. He is eating his rice cereal (extremely liquidy mix), rolling over front to back and back to front, smiling, laughing, grabbing toys, and talking up a storm. I can't believe he is soon going to be four months old! Here are some more pictures to hold you over while we are in Schererville:

Daddy Time

Blake loves spending time with his Daddy. Alex and I have been taking Blake for walks in the jogging stroller (when it is not raining) in the evenings. Most of the time Blake spends the walk looking around and enjoying himself; however, this was not the case with our last walk. He decided he really wanted to spend time with his Daddy. Here is what happened:

Tonight we went to see Alex play softball. Alex had two great hits! Blake enjoyed his time in the Baby Bjorn while Alex's mom, Liz, (who is watching Blake this week) and I enjoyed our hot chocolates.

First Blog!

Technology peer pressure has gotten the best of me, so I have started a blog. It is a classic case of "everybody's doing it." Blogging seems like a great way to keep in contact with friends and family and let them know what is going on in your life. There are so many ways to communicate in today's world! We have Facebook, Twitter, picture sharing programs, blogging, cell phones, and more! Technology gets more amazing every day.
Here is what is going on in my life right now:
