Trick or Treat

Blake's first Halloween was a success! He was a cute little monkey! The costume was great because it was nice and warm, and of course, adorable! Alex and I dressed up as well. I was a witch (with a Hogwarts student hat) equipped with a wand (a perfect stick from outside), and Alex was a zombie (or walker, if you prefer The Walking Dead terminology). We went to a nearby neighborhood at 6pm at hit the streets! By the way, it gets dark here at like 5pm... should be interesting when daylight savings comes around next weekend. Here are some pictures! Enjoy, and happy Halloween! Time to go eat candy and watch scary movies!

Is all this candy mine!?

Aubria's Visit

We had a visitor! Aubria came to see us all the way from Indiana! We had all kinds of fun while she was here. First, we went to the New England Aquarium. Blake loved it!

Jellyfish.

Jellyfish.

So pretty!

Seahorse.

Gill.

Penguins!

So cool!

Scary fish.

Nemo.

Passed out.
We saw Occupy Boston while we were on our way to the aquarium, too! Going strong throughout this yucky weather!

We also went to check our Salem, Massachusetts. Since we went the Friday before Halloween, it was crazy! There were all kinds of people dressed up.

That is a man, FYI.

A zombie must have tried to bust out.

Sarah Good.

A man witch?!

Pressed to death...

This is cool.

Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Beavis and Butthead approved.
We also had a taste of winter. We got about 6 inches of snow. Crazy! Luckily, Aubria's flight was still on time, but our 3am drive to the airport was interesting!

Overall, we had a great time! It was wonderful to see Aubria and spent some time with an Indiana friend!

I really should update more often...

Lots of things have been going on!

First of all, Blake now has seven teeth. We have his 9 month pictures on November 1st and his 9 month check-up on November 3rd. He is growing up so fast. We also created an email for Blake. I am really excited about this idea because Alex and I, as well as the rest of our families, can email Blake whenever they want. When he is old enough, it will be really cool to have him read all of the emails from over the years. Thank you Alex and the Google Chrome commercial for the idea.

We had to take Duncan to the vet this week because he has been freaking out. I am not sure what his problem is, but the diagnosis was his knees could be bugging him or it is probably anxiety. We have one stressed out, anxious dog. He has gotten better recently, though, so hopefully it has passed. Here are the dogs fighting/playing (you can hear Blake laugh at them in the background):

The weather has been slowly getting colder (high of 46 on Friday with a chance of snow!). I love fall, but I don't know if I am ready for snow!

Here are some recent pictures of Blake:

Sitting in my Cars chair.

LOVES laundry baskets.

Eating yogurt melts.

Swinging!

Is this how you play in the exer-saucer?

Aubria is flying in tonight to visit us! We are super excited. I will takes lots of pictures and post them after her visit!

Our Most Recent Meals

How do you make a meal when you don't feel like cooking? This is how:

That's right. Rotisserie chicken, Country Crock mashed potatoes, and store bought pasta salad. Delicious.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, here we have asparagus with a maple-mustard sauce with salmon (mine) and swordfish steak (Alex's). Equally delicious.
