Sunday, Sunday, Sunday...
Well, Irene's coming! Tropical storm and hurricane watch! It is expected to hit Sunday. I never thought I would experience a hurricane this far north! We got some minor things last night in the event that we lose power. I wouldn't have been as concerned for just Alex and me, but with Blake we have to be prepared! Who knows how bad it will actually be, but at least we are as ready as we are going to be!
Blake is rolling all over the place and drumming on everything! His favorite thing to do is roll up next to the wall and hit it over and over again. It's hilarious! Here he is doing it, in his second favorite baseball team's attire.

Blake is getting so old...
I cannot believe how big Blake is getting! He is changing every day. He now has four teeth (and I think he is working on the fifth!). He looks a little silly with these teeth because he has decide to get them a little out of order. He has both bottom teeth... normal, right? But wait... he has both of his side teeth on the top! No middle top teeth yet. The pediatrician claims this is common, but I have to say that I have never seen anything like it! Crazy. He is also moving around everywhere! By moving, I mean scooting and rolling. No crawling yet. I suspect that will happen any day though. He is getting much better with entertaining himself and is finally sleeping consistently (knock on wood) through the night (8:30-6:30). He really is at a fun age. Alex and I are really enjoying it. He has tried tons of different kinds of baby foods and appears to like them all. He has snubbed mangoes and macaroni and cheese at first, but after a few bites, ate all of them! However, I have recently discovered something he does not like to eat. Formula. This is a slight problem seeing as how the frozen breast milk supply is coming to a close. We are starting to mix in formula with breast milk to get him used to it. So far, he takes the mixture fine, just not formula by itself yet. I think we can get there though! He just needs to get used to it! We have a month or two probably left in frozen breast milk so we have time to get him used to formula. We will see how it goes! Here are so pretty cute pictures of him to hold you over until the next post!

Root, root, root for the Red Sox!
Lauren, Alex, Blake, and I went to a Red Sox game! Fenway Park is awesome. I haven't been to too many baseball games, but I would guess that Fenway is probably the coolest place to see a game. It is pretty hard to have bad seats here because it is so small! We did not buy tickets in advance, but Fenway always has game day tickets available. What is the catch, you might ask? Well, you have to go and wait in line for a long time before the game. We did this and were lucky enough to get tickets! Some people in line wait forever and do not get tickets! Luckily, we were near the front! This was Blake's first baseball game, so of course we took lots of pictures to document it!

Cape Cod
We finally ventured to the Cape! Lauren, Alex, Blake, and I headed out, and it took us 2 1/2 hours to get there. LONG DRIVE! The waves here were much bigger than the standard beaches that we have been going to, which was really cool. However, the beach was PACKED!!! I have never seen a beach so busy. Wait until you see the pictures! We also went to some little shops (kind of like a big Brown County). It was really fun.
Can you see all of those umbrellas through the haze?! |

Boston Museum of Science
I love museums. Pretty much any museum. I was super excited to find out Boston has tons, but especially the Boston Museum of Science. This museum was amazing! Lauren was here visiting so she got to go with Alex, Blake, and me! Blake really loved looking at everything in this giant museum. Here are cool pictures of our visit:

Blake is 6 Months!
I can't believe it! Blake is already 6 months old! He is getting so big! He is 16 lbs. 1 oz. and 27 in. tall! His 6 month appointment went great. We have a healthy, growing boy on our hands. He's a little on the tall and skinny side (wonder where he gets that from...), but all around healthy and cute! :) He is so close to crawling and has started talking and babbling all the time. We are working on getting him to sleep through the night still. He usually wakes up once at around 2am, and then up for good at 5:30am. Last night, however, he sleep all through the night until 6am. Here's hoping tonight is a repeat...
Today, we went to the outlet mall in Wrentham, Massachusetts. We passed the Patriots' stadium on the way there. We made sure to stop and take some pictures that emphasized our true feelings for the Patriots... I will let you check those out on Facebook. Going back to the outlet mall... It was pretty nice! Fairly comparable to Edinburgh Outlet Mall in Indiana, except bigger with a few extra, expensive stores (Juicy, Burberry, etc.). I, like always, wanted to check out the Coach Outlet, and there was a line to just get into the store. Nothing special going on, just a crazy amount of people wanting to shop there. I didn't get anything there, but I did get some new stuff at the Vera Bradley Outlet to make up for it!
Of course I have to leave you with some of Blake's 6 month pictures. Enjoy!
